Modal Craft Synth

edited December 2016 in General App Discussion

Got mine for Christmas and had a bit of a mare assembling it, what with parts not lining up correctly, so had to borrow some very narrow files to file down a couple of areas to get the pins to line up, but got there in the end.
I have had a couple of hours play with it alongside the Craft App/Librarian (hint hint Novation) and struggled to get the presets to save, but eventually Sussed it out.
For a tiny little bit of kit, I'm well impressed with the sound quality and the sonic capabilities are huge compared to, say a Volca keys, although I'm also a user of one and a fan of its analogueyness and immediacy. The knobs are nicer and smoother on the Volca though, the Craft synths are a bit stiff.
Hooked it up to Modstep and got a simple pattern going, tweaked away and came up with some lovely sounds.
The App isn't quite fully functional yet with the keyboard and settings icons greyed out, but I'm sure it will be ironed out soon.
It gives access to hidden parts of the synth which is great and they've hinted at more to come in the future.
Everything under the hood is midi cc able I think too so super handy.
The only thing I've found wanting for so far in the app is an EG amount setting, but all in all I'm a very happy customer and I can't wait to run the little fella through a nice reverb.

Anyone else having fun with one?
