It ought to be fun for some field recording and mobile music making
How did you do? Cool gear or instruments? A tie wrangler? Socks?

The Sotheby's catalogues for the auction of D. Bowie's art collection.
Lovely stuff.

A cheap iPad stand - simple but completely transforms working with one, Mainstage for Logic, Paul Lewis (landscape artist) book, Kate Bush 'Before the dawn' CD and a rather fetching scarf.
I got some star wars pj's and matching slippers the top has a big storm trooper face on it, that's now covered in gravy.
A nice canvas of some manga art my wife painted for me
I got this book

I can see now I should have said "pics or it didn't happen."
@Redo1 Have you checked out any of the anatomy apps on iTunes?
A yacht, a Rolex watch, a Rolls Royce...oh ya an amazing Rembrandt and the original Mona Lisa both beautifully framed
Don't concentrate on the belly, also it's not as bad as it looks, that top part is just shadow and is no reflection on my spoon to mouth abilities.
@mister_rz We'll just assume you have kids. Thanks for sharing!
Nice to see many art related gifts me being a visual artist
And nice to see Kate Bush mentioned...one of my all time favorite artists!
What I really received- guitar strings, Cardinalls Musick: Spem in Alium, Carrie Newcomer: The Beautiful Not Yet and a nice Christmas dinner
It's a good CD - bit of a consolation as I was going to try and book tickets for the London show, but forgot.
Thats too bad you forgot but you do have the cd! Not sure how much she'll perform live again. I heard her say in an interview her son gave her the confidence to do those concerts
Enjoy your cd...I'll have to pick it up someday
I got a brush rack and the beginnings of a calligraphy brush collection. More brushes are on the way
Portable Tascam Sound Recorder. Game changing.
Very nice...hog hair bristle and one sable hair?
Musically speaking, I got Johnny Marr's autobiography. Very looking forward to it. Also got a foot tambourine from my 9 year old!
@telecharge I got a used four track version of that a couple of months for a song. It's really wonderful for quick capture and the built-in mics stand up respectably to my zoom h4.
The brush near the middle is wolf hair, the other three are part weasle and wool.
Tell me you only write with Tiger's blood. Please!
Cool! I got Maynard James Keenan and LA Reid's autobiographies. LA Reid is still on sale for $2 on Amazon Kindle if anyone is interested.

Awesome. Thanks for that.
Did you get one, too? Same model?
Charlie Sheen cornered the market on that. I'll have to hit him up for some if there is any left.
Interesting selection of hair....never have heard of wool and wolf hair being used for brushes
Impossible to beat.
True but....
^ did pretty well!
Complete? There isn't even skin on it!
An M Audio Oxygyn 49 , the one that ships with the xpand 2 software which really sounds impressive from all I have heard in review. ( have not had time to set it up yet). I did have a quick go with it and the iPad yesterday and am impressed with the feel for playing especially compared to my old Samson carbon that recently got damaged. This is going to make a huge improvement over the Samson thankfully.
I keep one of those in the back window of my pick up truck so that nobody messes with me.
Moneys to go towards our pickup truck+ camper dream! Hopefully by this time next year ill be permanently on the road beatboxing busking and such
