there are only few modules that translate analogue clock to MIDI clock. This is one of them.
It's an interesting feature because the analogue clock speed can be changed turning a physical knob (there are MIDI devices with such a dedicated knob as well, but mostly the clock speed is expected to be constant, set with inc/dec buttons). It is also possible to use irregular analogue clock, which opens up many new options for (old) MIDI devices.
