I can't do want I want to do
IA'm done , I can't play what I want to play...iOS can get lost

Alcohol is a depressant. This too shall pass.
I feel like this when I play an amazing live jam in AUM, and when I go to look for the recording in audioshare it's not there.
I don't hate iOS as much as I did last night, but current friendship status with it is not good
All I tried to do was stop listening to what I was making and listen to SoundCloud, I couldn't get any sound out.....it is all working fine again this morning.....so frustrating...nothing changed since last night
Switching platforms will result in you trading one set of problems for another. ALL platforms have their problems. There is no greener grass.
After two and a half years on iOS I'm just the opposite.
With FLM3 and iDS-10 (and my EWI/CCK/UM-1) I think I can get back to where I was on the desktop ten years ago.

Today I had the same experience. I'm done wasting time configuring the buggy midi inputs and outputs. Midi setup and app switching starts to get very annoying. Can't wait till all apps support au in the future.
@Proto Are you using state saving? If not, I suggest looking into it...

@Sebastian your next step in unifying this increasingly ununified world awaits... The green fruit offers no more comfort, please deliver the path us to the path of clarity...
Perhaps best posted under the DT topic, but it's clear to me at least a new sdk needs to be.... And without doubt you would be the one to count upon
iOS is like this man. Like when I first started dabbling (initially on an old Mini 1 and then later on my Air 2) I was like "this is the future!".
And then one night I wasted close to an hour trying to save a WAV file from a website onto my iPad so I could import it into Gadget and that was me more or less done haha.
As I've said on here before, the iPad is still a really important part of my setup now. It runs its own audio interface and is connected to my main setup by audio and MIDI. So I use it for guitar tones, crazy touch-interactive soundscapes, fat basses and pads, generative music, etc. All things that I'll happily admit I can't do on my laptop.
And I'll also say that some apps do offer a generally good music making experience, if you're happy to stick within a single environment. In my experience, it's when I start trying to get ambitious and sync apps together that things get complicated to the point where I'm literally just wasting time. But even though my experience has been a mixed bag (and I accept others have had a better time than me) I still think it's amazing tech. I mean, a tablet with as low audio latency as my primary DAW? That's kinda nuts, however you look at it.
I got fed up with using ipad only as well and have one with dedicated interface now(used to use studiomux). I also much prefer using ipad this way(synths, drums, looper, effects etc), so many simple tasks are just too much hassle with ipad..
