Auria Automation Editing (SOLVED)
I've been playing with writing automation of my mix levels and panning, etc. while playing back my tracks. Is there an easy way to just wipe out the automation I just wrote and start over clean? The manual says to simple write over it by just doing it again or editing/deleting each point, but im wondering it I can just delete the whole automated session and start over, or write a second session in addition to the the first session?
I've tried writing over, but I'm fighting against the originally written automation while trying to rewrite.
That question probably doesn't make much sense, but hopefully someone will get what I'm asking.

Undo? Which, I know deletes point by point, or last thing done. Maybe a cleaner way to do what you are saying above, cuz I have never been able to figure out how to delete or start over with the automation either????
I bet it's something very simple. That's been my experience so far. Many functions that I thought were intimidating and complex before, turned out to be very easy to grasp and use. I've found most of the UI design of this app is really very straightforward once you get the "gist" of the general app syntax.
This one thing is bothering me though.
I'm hoping there are two easy functions for the automation you've written to a given track. Though it may be more complicated than I'm assuming.
I'd like to be able to delete/undo the complete automated session after I've completed it, and not have to delete it point-by-point. And, I'd like to save my first automation session on the track, name it. Then take another stab at automating the same track and name the second attempt.. then A/B each automated session to pick which I want to keep and/or edit.
This may be too complicated since you could have one automated session for a track that was just for your Fab Filter ProQ2 instance. Another automated session for your Turnado instance. And another automated session for your mix levels and panning that's could be applied to a couple of tracks simultaneously.
Thinking... maybe I should go ask this on the Auria forum instead. Got lazy since I often get quicker replies on this forum than the Auria one... but maybe this question is a little too specific for a general iOS forum like this one. If I discover the answer.. I'll paste it here to complete this thread in case other's are also curious.
If you double-tap and drag out a marquee to select multiple control points you can then delete a bunch of them by going to Edit --> Delete --> Delete Control Points.
You should also be able to select a track and just delete the automation on it, but I can't get that to work anymore, might be a bug, or an error on my part.
I haven't been able to select multiple points so far. Only works one-by-one for me, but will try again to make sure I wasn't missing something.
Where is the control to select a track and delete the automation on it? I'm sure if it were a snake it'd bite me, but I can't see anything obvious.
I got a reply from Rim. And it works fine. What I wasn't doing was "highlighting" either the area or the entire track that I wanted to delete automation from.
Here's his reply:
The only question I have now is how do you delete or edit parameter automation you're written to plugins like Turnado or WOW2? I don't see the automation I wrote to their parameter in the midi section of the track.
Isn't on Menu > Reset > Clear all automation... ?
Yes! I hadn't seen that one either. Works great.
Found the answer to how to get to the automation written to plugin parameters. I didn't know that MIDI/Audio window menu was scrollable. Scrolled down to find all my automation. Someone on the Auria forum helped me.
Yeah, King is a cleaver guy on Auria Pro, just like @richardyot and @theconnactic !
I thought the same after I tried this and it didn't work. But, I then selected the track so that it had the blue border, after double-tap highlighting as you suggested... and was then able to delete all the animation on it. thx!
That clears all the automation in the project. You should also be able to just select a track (blue border) in the edit window and delete just the automation on that track, however it wasn't working for me when I tried earlier, but it sounds like @skiphunt has it working now.
@richardyot I did notice that once or twice, I had to hit that delete automation button twice. Could be a bug, but I assumed it was because I might've forgot to actually select the track too.
