Can't get MIDI from Ableton clips/tracks to play Gadget or SoundPrism sound-engines via StudioMux
Using the StudioMux AU plugin and iOS app I can now connect Gadget and SoundPrism Live Link edition (or pro) to Ableton and receive MIDI and audio from either app into an Ableton MIDI VI track.
What i cannot seem to do is be able to play back MIDI from Ableton into either iOS synth.
HOWEVER... I CAN do this with AniMoog. I can receive, record AND play back MIDI and the sounds fro AniMoog using StudioMux.
Why not other apps such as Gadget or SoundPrism ?

Me too!!
I think the server and app need updating
I'm not a StudioMux user, but couldn't this be achieved with iOS 11 native IDAM?
iOS 11 is evil it kills a lot of older music apps I love.
AniMoog & Model 15 Moog works great. I use them to play and tweak midi arrangements imported into ableton Live. I can't get Gadget to play the midi clips placed in arrangement view.
does soundprism even have MIDI in?
do you have gadget in advanced midi input mode?
@cblomert could you clarify if this is a known issue?
Yup. IDAM mostly eliminates the need for StudioMux imo.
It is a shame that currently iOS IDAM only supports one stereo channel in and out - but its a start.
in future - iOS support for more than one stereo channel out of the iOS device would be nice. But then in practice maybe most of us just are better off keeping thing simple -
IDAM is mac only, right?
Yes, and it’s 1 stereo In, no Outs. (In to the Mac)
Might be helpful, I did a recent post about Studiomux: https://aud-ios.com/2017/10/03/studiomux-still-tops-for-audio-midi-routing-between-ios-11-high-sierra-windows/
