How to record an iOS tutorial Part 1 **Added Parts 2 and 3

Its a new year. I am going to try to up my game and produce more videos this year. Wanted to start it off with how to record an iOS video tutorial. This is part 1, which is a high level overview. I plan on doing several parts and one will focus on just using your iOS devices to record a video.

Thanks in advance for watching.

That was really good, easy to follow, very watchable, easy voice to listen to, like! :)

If I were a total beginner and watching this, I would be wondering about the part in between "Ways to record ..." and "Once you get everything recorded", I would have really appreciated a section called something like "Doing the recording", in which you do an abbreviated version of the actual recording process.

And a little niggly thing, if you can fill the camera frame entirely with just your face (or head anyway), then the focus and exposure probably would jump around a lot less, plus you'd be a lot easier to see.

Otherwise, a definite thumbs up. :)

  • @decibelle Thanks for the tips. I will definitely record a in-between part on recording process with some tips and tricks that I have learned. As far as the camera filling my face, I am using the built in camera on my MacBook Pro. Not sure if you can zoom or set the exposure to manual but I will look into that. I would love to get a DSLR with video to do these but thats not in the budget yet. Maybe I will try and use the Lifecam for my face as well.

  • Added Parts 2 and 3 to the Original Post. I think a couple more parts are needed to complete the series.

  • Thanks for this. Always find it interesting to see how the cat gets skinned etc.
