How many of you use "hold to erase" in Gadget?
If you play on the touch screen, I highly recommend it. You can play it along with your notes to replace any parts live while you jam, I guess I never expected it to work that way. Makes a huge difference.
The moral of the story is don't overlook tiny app features you may think are insignificant or that you don't need. It may be just the thing!

I'll have to give it a try![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I still think Gadget could use a 'SH-101 Style' step-sequencer input mode.(ie. play note(s) add rest or tie and so on).
And that 'step-record mode' should 'stamp' all modified CC's per step.
This is one of those 'little' things that that can transform an app. Good spot![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
See your post in Korg forums.Nicely done @db909 Thank you very much.
For me this method 'fails' as I love to keep the automation and just change the notes.
Guess It's back to drawing stuff by hand...
@Samu bummer it does erase automation too. But for me that might be a good thing. I'll be forced to automate later.
I would love to see separate automation and note tracks. This would make it easier to re-use note-tracks/patterns with playback options such as transpose and also use alternation automations without having to duplicate the notes. This would also make 'global' changes super easy.
So many things in 'Gadget' could be made super awesome with quick and relatively simple additions.
It will be nice to see if Gadget gets an overhaul at NAMM'17...
This is where ModStep comes in for me, you can have separated notes and controllers even on different tracks if you want so you can mix and match scenes with differing notes and automation.
At the very least there should be a "copy automation" only applicable for the same gadget obviously. And ideally erase should absolutely not affect automation. Because you can already erase automation by drawing or recording again! Its helpful for notes because of the difference between overdubbing for harmony purposes or replacing bad parts of phrases. Korg: 90% there, 100% of the time.
Never used it but might try.
So you hold it down while you play some different notes to what's already been recorded? While looping.
Isn't it fiddly doing this in terms of timing and also having to use one hand to hold it down?
@Matt_Fletcher_2000 it's not as fiddly as I expected. Yeah it works how you say. I have pretty mediocre rhythm and I've already gotten some fun results from it. if your playing from a midi keyboard hooked up though, yeah that would be a pain I imagine.
No, i'm all about the touch screen![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Thanks anyway... i'll be giving it a try.
