Thanks so much @eustressor ! Yeah, I was going to use a close-up of the autocrat's lying butthole mouth for the cover art, but then I remembered that classic moment with the reporter.
I think of the hand-to-forehead gesture as a little different from the face palm, however. Face palm is more about looking down in disillusioned shame and despair. Hand-to-the-forehead is more like "I cannot F-king believe what I'm seeing!" I even came up with the hashtag #ICFB to go with this gesture and this image and this meme, which I am promoting as the new WTF. It makes a perfect ready-made response for daily occasions, like "ICFB he just said that" or "ICFB people are buying this."
Ha! Comedian Aparna Nancherla came up with a great line: "Is there any difference now between watching the news and screaming." :-)
Clever stuff, and I can pick up the Zappa and Negativland comparisons too.
I like a bit of politics in my music, and with the media spoon-feeding misinformation to the masses it's good when artists present an alternative.

Thanks everyone for your comments. This was a fun project to work on but also one which presented a number of challenges inherent in the limitations of certain iOS apps.
For instance, I really wish Figure had a simple way of exporting multiple discrete tracks in one step. Instead the workaround was to mute all but one track and export the remaining track one at a time.
Another interesting app that I tried for the first time was Howl. It is an app that can create all sorts of cool formant vowel sounds and offers amazing expressive potential. But to take advantage of it all, you almost need an extra set of hands. It took a lot of determination to figure out a way to trigger a note, modulate the vowel sounds, and apply vibrato all at once. This was accomplished through a combination of the Hold function and a lot of practice switching back and forth between fingering the surface to modulate the vowels and quickly switching to swipe upward on the vibrato depth setting with just the right timing. Try it some time. Not easy to do it and keep in time.
It would be nice if Howl supported MIDI input and a way to map hardware controllers to its many parameters. Another way would be to offer some way of recording sequences and parameter automation. Beyond that, the note grid could be improved by offering square or bar-shaped regions (rather than its diamond regions which are difficult to hit with accuracy), the ability to constrain the grid to keys, modes, and scales. And an iPad version which makes better use of larger screen real estate would help a lot too.
But I suppose these kind of limitations and challenges are all part of the fun of tablet apps, right?

As for me, while rather deeply political myself, I hate almost more than anything talking about it. Too frustrating.

Honestly I think Lady App Titude is at the top of the game when it comes to producing sample based music on iOS, everything she does is like a super planned out and executed piece of genius, it feels like every note, loop, sample has been meticulously inserted to produce the perfect result every time, I love it

Very nice @Lady_App_titude. I also enjoyed reading about your process and challenges with apps used in your creations and your workarounds. I would never have guessed that you used Howl in this.
Really nice work. Love this kind of stuff. Especially that you state the lying is the point, and don't use the song to push your personal allegiance. Some who have either misunderstood that, or asked for version specific alternates just don't seem to get that all sides are lying to us all the time.
Trump, only happened because no one in US mainstream politics really gave a shit about ordinary working folk. Brexit only happened because no one was listening when we objected to autocratic foreign control and unlimited immigration. In both cases, change was needed.
Now, we have to watch very carefully that the new guard keeps some promises, and if not - as is likely - then we all hold them to account. But not by simply going back to systems that have already failed. The future is ours, if we can stop fighting among ourselves. Intelligent, creative works like yours, can help in some way to achieve this...for those who listen.
