I was wondering about this too....just started using BASSalicious again, and it's definitely the best sounding bass for what I'm aiming for. I hope the developer is still on the iOS/AU bandwagon.
Makes me think about another wrinkle in the ongoing AU etc discussion (@Sebastian). This will get me to put both of these apps back on my machine and thereafter maybe use them and talk about them to others; two things I haven't been doing...
