Shameful endless n00b question etc (StepPolyArp)
Love SPA. Always record it via Module into Auria as audio and it's fine. However, would like to record it this time as MIDI so I can save it as MIDI and share etc. What is the best way/app to do this into? Actually, rather than best, maybe I should ask for most straightforward when there's a fool at the controls. Any and all edukasion welcomed etc.

I don't know Auria but SPA...Well the MIDI output in SPA is pretty straightforward, you should be able to switch it to Auria as soon as it's open. In theory, then it should only be a matter of creating and arming a MIDI track in Auria. You should also set SPA to receive MIDI clock from Auria, you can find that setting under the "Sync" tab in the SPA Midi Settings.
Thanks. I have stumbled without success in both AP and Cubasis (well aware it is my own lack of routing savvy). Will go poke about once more...
I just did a quick attempt in Auria Pro. I selected spa as the instrument, then switched over there and saw that it was already set to sync, so I figured I was probably good to go. Pressed record, then play in the IAA bar. Nothing appeared in Auria Pro. I then checked the MIDI settings in spa and found that I hadn't selected Auria Pro as the output destination. Once I did that, Output notes were recorded in AP. Oh, and don't forget to arm the track.
Cubasis was the same process basically. The key is making sure the output is set properly in spa.
I did have to close everything and then do the thing where you hold down the power button until the slider comes up, then the home button until you get back to the home screen, or things went very wrong when switching from AP to Cubasis.
Noob question here. ELASTIC DRUMS- FX page is not working. Can't hear fx at all? They were working 1st time I used the app now I can't get any fx to work. Is there a global knob for fx units I'm missing or something? Any links to videos regarding elastic drums fx would help. Thanks
Thanks Mister. Will go back to the well one more time....
Nah. Stuck. Very obviously doing something (or not doing something). Tried both AP and Cubasis and can't get the sync in SPA to be anything but greyed out. Will blame the night air and go blow the sax. No doubt will become clearer later....
Disable Link.
[edit] nvm. I see from the screenshot that you're not loading spa as an IAA instrument. Will need you to describe how it's set up in order to provide advice (other than ... "set it up as an IAA instrument within AP or Cubasis")
Loading as IAA will be easiest since sync will be taken care of for you. Otherwise, set sync to Auria. Also set MIDI out to Auria or set it to its own Virtual Output and tell Auria to listen to SPA's output.
@wim @syrupcore Gentlemen both, I thank you for your nudging. Will report back.
