Audiobus forum users meetup in real life?
I've seen posts from a variety of people that are located close to one another. I'm in Connecticut, USA it isn't a huge drive to go to Boston or NYC or Albany or wherever within a few hours. Are there real-life, in person meetups of Audiobus fans or the apps we use that get organized? I'd think it would be fun.
Locally we have a Bluegrass jam (it is tonight) and it is a heck of a lot of fun and it started me thinking that doing the same think w/ our iPads and iPhones could be the same fun.

Great idea. Buuuut I'm quite far away. Is there anyone else in Berlin?
Great idea but living in an island in the atlantic makes this difficult for me![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)

I'm in South-East Wisconsin. Go Packers!
See y'all Sunday at the Death Star. Gonna be a good one.
Due to be in Berlin (for work) in June before pottering off to Andalucia again (not for work). Also Amsterdam in early March if I'm good apparently...
Haha.
I know that's right mate. Our teams almost never fail to put on a great spectacle out on any given turf.
The Pack have proven themselves the Comeback Kids over and over, ESPECIALLY this season where we lost Eddie Lacy, where there was a losing streak due in part to Aaron Rodgers going into a prima donna mode (trust me, you can tell when this happens when the other players repeatedly fail to protect Aaron as he tries to aim a long pass), and how the Packers sat safely in 2nd place in the NFC North roster until somehow the Green and Gold snaked the top spot from the Lions at the 11th hour.
And, you better thank goodness the Packers won, because the Lions were playing dirty pool as the refs tossed out more flags on the field than are flown at the UN. Even this past Saturday the Lions couldn't keep it together against the Seahawks and tried to resort to their same ol' dirty pool tactics. Sure the Lions coming down to Texas would've been a win for the Cowboys, but your team sure wouldn't have won so easily after getting chewed up on the field,
Northern New Jersey here. I could probably make it happen. How many of you peeps are close?
Great Idea. Would be cool to hang out with some local folks. I don't get out much though. Atlanta, Ga area.
+1 for Berlin, I'm frequently visiting, and there are a bunch of creative meetups that might be a good foundation![ ](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I'm just glad we're not on the Frozen Tundra for this one. Rodgers is obviously out of whatever funk he may have been in earlier, that's for sure, and there's something about that Ripkowski that really scares me. He just seems to get it done when ya need it most, and that's the guy you need on your side, not the other side.
Of course, we got Witten, and your defense is gonna have its hands full with him, Zeke, Dez, and ol' Cole. And let's not forget about Dak- I'm thinking you'd rather have seen us go back to Romo![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Yeah, it's gonna be a good one, all right! Caint wait!
To be honest, I think I have the right venue here that could host and I'd be willing to do the footwork and publicity. The problem is I've been so insulated musically and not OUT THERE meeting other musicians socially. I would love this, but I would need people that actually know other people. All I have is my musician pals, but they are not iPad guys.
Central CT here, and that is definitely do-able. I don't mind driving - heck the other day I did a 2 hour drive up to jam with my high school buddies and had a complete blast. Personally I am a very very shy musician, have been playing guitar for 20+ years and have never played in front of anyone. And as far as IOS music goes, well it is all just poking around with buttons at this point.
But I have previously had a really good time at previous meet-ups. Back in the early days of the Internet the Acoustic Guitar forum had regional meet-ups and the closest one was in Boston. People came from all over the Northeast. It was a blast, and not that this is any sort of expectation but because it was the magazine putting it on they got all kinds of sponsorship and had free stuff to give away... maybe that is more of an end goal if this idea takes off, we'll just start informally.
I think it is great that you have a potential venue. How close to NYC?
(I still have my Seymour Duncan acoustic guitar pickup and a really cool guitar strap I "won")
I'm near Denver CO.
Frankfurt am Main, aber hoffe demnächst auch ma wieder Berlin ;-)
With @enc and @AndyPlankton and myself in the Manchester area, we have got enough for a crowd but no idea of a venue though
We have real lives?
I'm in Eau Claire, so, ya there's that. Sunday game was amazing to watch.
Y'all know we put Dez in on D and send him to the back of the end zone if it's gonna be a Hail Mary, so don't be getting any ideas...![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Ya Matthews had quite the play as well!
Justin???
Greetings from Charleston, SC
The spot I have in mind is in Randolph, NJ. They have a music store with a large space and stage avaiable for this sort of thing. I would also check in with a local black box theatre and see if they can accomodate a group of us.
