Having a Rave │ Troublemaker and DM2 - haQ attaQ performance

Having a Rave with Troublemaker by Bram Bos and DM2 by Audionomy! I cannot recall how many times I've lost my self to in the music while dancing away at a Rave party. Not because I was high, but because of the sounds generated by the 303 bass-line. I love acid music!

  • Love the pads work, I'd be interested to hear more about what ways you're using the controller to make things happen.

  • Thanks for sharing.

I'm not sure if my humble iPad4 would have power enough to recreate that jam.

  • Hahaha! Instant classic. Does the mirror support Ableton Link?

  • Nice. Im hearing some Boris Blank type sounds in that troublemaker. Juicy and thick and rich and Yello-ey. Now i have to upgrade my pad from 8.4

  • Great performance. I love your 'looks'.

Yes, please tell us WTF the pads are doing :)

  • @OscarSouth @Matt_Fletcher_2000 No problem I am working on a video in where I'm talking about it. Stay tuned! =D

I'm running that setup on an iPad mini 2, so the iPad 4 should be able to handle the load. :)

Unfortunately no. The thing doesent even support MIDI. Should have asked about it in the store before purchase. It's great for beat-juggling though. It's can make one deck look like two YAY!

Ooh, Yellofier! There's an app I haven't featured for I while. I probably should! =D

    Im looking forward to it!

  • Great jam, @jakoB_haQ and cool video editing too! Would be interested in how you did those cuts and zooms whilst playing using both hands!

    Well done bro! :D

  • Very cool stuff

  • Love watching you work, Jakob. This genre of music has often bored me, but you really show us how much fun it can be. As with the mighty Doug, I've bought apps I would normally pass on because of being inspired by your videos.

  • Maybe I should post this on the Troublemaker thread, but one thing I'm trying to figure out is if there is a lightweight app out there that can turn knobs for two instances of Troublemaker. I'm using Aleph patterns on my phone to construct a song with two 303's, in AUM, and was thinking it be more fun to be able to twiddle cutoff, resonance, decay, and maybe delay for two+ AU instances at once. Any recommendations?

    MidiLFO
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/midilfos-midi-modulation-toy/id998273841?mt=8

  • After I made this post I started using that to set some LFOs for the song I'm working on. It's close to what I'm looking for, but it doesn't really give me the control to "play" the cutoff/res on the two 303s. I'll use it until I find something I like better.

Would I need a separate app to do something like custom map CC values on the target to knobs in another app I like, say NLog or Model 15?

Any of the MIDI Control surface apps should be able to do it....Lemur, MIDI Designer....etc
Also MIDI Bridge with a script should be able to route to different channels based on CC, and to translate CC to correct one in order to use a single app or controller.....eight Troublemakers with cutoff and resonance controlled by a single beatstep for example
Just a pseudo example of possible script
If CC = 1 then send CC1 to AUM Chan 1
if CC = 10 then send CC1 to AUM Chan 2
if CC = 20 then send CC1 to AUM Chan 3
    type of thing...
