Preemptive Warning/Solution to GarageBand Issue
A very frustrating and bizarre issue arose for me today while working on a song in GarageBand IOS on my iPhone. Inexplicably, the overall volume of the entire song (24 tracks), from start to finish, suddenly decreased to barely audible. The individual track volume faders remained as I left them.
After trying everything under the sun, then trying everything again, I dreaded the worst case scenario, a lost project. I couldn't find any solutions to this particular issue anywhere. Then I got lucky. While listening to the song, I toggled the "fade out" switch back & forth and to my surprised delight...volume switched back to normal! No idea why/how this happened, but happy as heck to fix it. Phew.
Just wanted to share this harrowing experience in case any of you run into this issue.
