MODSTEP Not Loading-Sensual SAX Update Now Live!!!

Guys sorry if this has been said but can't get my MS app to open up. I only had Oddissey and IWAVESTATION loaded what happened?

1. Done the clear-memory trick? (Power button until slide, home button until slide goes away)
2. Have you restarted iPad?
3. Uninstalled/re-installed ModStep?

I have been using it all evening here, but I avoid loading IAA's in it, I just let it handle midi and its internal instruments.

Have you got Sensual Sax installed? Seems it causes a loading problem with Modstep.

Yeah I did everything except reinstall as i had a huge midi clip library I was testing out.

I do have Sensual SAX installed but I cannot live with out it now

The developer of Sensual Sax is aware of the problem.

Delete Sensual Sax. seriously. no other way to use modstep right now.
modstep>sensual sax in my list of priorities so till the dev fixes it its off my Ipad for now.

Sensual Sax does not play well as an Audio Unit. Besides not showing up as an AU in AURIA Pro and crashing Modstep i noticed that it also crashes the Audio Evolution DAW. Any word yet from the developer when to expect an update of Sensual Sax?

There's a fix on the way for this. It was an annoyingly simple fix: turns out the reason for the issue is that the plugin name has to be formatted like this:

CompanyName: PluginName

We had it like this

CompanyName PluginName

A simple thing like that causing crashes. D'oh!

Update should be there within a day or so, depending on how speedy Apple is!

Has the cause of the stuttering and white noise when freezing in Cubasis also been addressed?

Also the same stuttering behavior happens when "merging" the track in GarageBand.

I haven't got the sax app, but Modstep isn't working properly for me now - the clips won't launch, and the edit screen won't let me add notes. Even saved sessions no longer play.

Update: working again after reboot.

If I start getting odd stuff like that happening in ModStep, or indeed anything else...reboot is my first action after saving everything as a copy, I'd rather have two copies than none

@embertone , even with "sensuality" off and "modesty" on and the "luv" setting turned all the way to the left, (turning "sex" into "luv", really?) those scrolling messages are still quite sexually suggestive and now scroll every 20 seconds. I'm having difficulty imagining that you concluded from my feedback that I was hoping fot 300% MORE scrolling messages?

In all good faith, I am honestly struggling to understand a world view which correlates [age-appropriateness for 9-year-olds/infrequent] with [scrolling sexual innuendos/20-second intervals].
This app is still rated on the appstore as appropriate for 9-year-old children:

As good as this app sounds, and honestly I do think it sounds awesome enough for me to have given the update a chance, how can I focus on the audio with such persistent visual distractions? I wish I could, I want to, I keep trying, but I fail.

I haven't update as I'm out of data on phone. Waiting till I get home, but bummer at least the DRC is making some progress.

Okay along with this there's also an issue where the plugin doesn't remember state in AU mode. No matter what I set the dial to in GB it resets itself to the default on rewind.

BTW...I also work in IT, so "Have you tried turning it off and back on?" is a common phrase in my life.......along with "I hate computers!"

I'm disappointed to hear that, Decibelle - we spent a lot of time crafting this update so that it didn't lose its personality and stayed pretty darn clean. We toned down the messages so that they celebrated LUV, made some fun eighties references, and were fun.

Can you indicate which of these you find sexually suggestive/offensive?

We have yet another update in the works, and we will consider your suggestions.

@embertone I wasn't going to, but since you explicitly asked me ...

Even "Have some ice cream" gets mind-crushingly crazy-making when repeated every 20 seconds during all the many hours I normally invest in my audio work. Think of the "Polly wanna cracker" parrot nonstop all day.

And which of these personal-sounding messages do I regard as inappropriate when coming from a strange creepy dude I don't know who stalks me everytime I use the app and keeps bugging me every 20 seconds without my consent and refuses to stop no matter what I do?
