Steinberg UR242
Any one using the UR242 with Cubasis on the iPad to record guitar audio? I'm wanting to know if the input is relatively noise free.
Comments
I have ur22, and no there is no noise, unless ofc your guitar(or pedals etc) makes the noise
Hi Nu2moro,
You should not experience any noise issues using the UR242 along with the iPad.
With the release of iOS 10 there have been issues with UR12 and UR22mkII, that have been addressed with appropriate firmware updates (released back in October 16)*
In case you don't know, the UR242 can also be used to unlock Cubasis LE for free.

Hope that helps.

Thank you :-)
Lars, I already have Cubasis and recently purchased Cubase Artist 9 (that's a comprehensive piece of software!). Coming from the old Pro 24 days, it's unbelievable just how much is possible in a small box now! It's taking a while for all the cogs to start working again! ;-)
I have the UR-44 and haven't had any issues with noise. The only things you have to watch out for are noise sources outside of your setup (certain types of lights, laptop or PC power supplies, certain types of display, etc.). As long as your recording environment is free from those things you should be absolutely fine!
