Recommend a good app for iPhone
Hello - a friend is traveling to New Zealand, and is looking for an app to amuse himself on the trip. I thought he would enjoy Gadget, but I have no idea how it is to use it on an iPhone. I'm looking to recommend an app that would be fun and productive to use on iPhone.
I've only used apps on an iPad Air, so don't have any personal insight.
Thank you.

Auxy.
Gadget is fun and usable on a phone. Anything is going to be cramped (unless you have a plus-model) so why not immediately go with the most versatile app to begin with?
Auxy
If he's looking for pure fun, I would throw in IKAOSSILATOR, aka The Greatest Music Sequencer of All Time, as well. Gadget and Auxy are pretty fun too.
ThumbJam and DrumJam, of course. But he may just find that the flight is too short..
triq-traq is totally overlooked
Figure, NodeBeat (both free) Xynthesizr and or SunVox
Gadget and Magellan Jr. are both quite functional on an iPhone.
+1
Good suggestions everybody! I will take a look at these when I get home, and see how I feel. Leaning towards Gadget as I first mentioned, but will consider all others. Thanks again!
TC-11 and iVCS3
Just add iMaschine2 and BlocsWave.
Triq fuckin' Traq
+
YELLOWFIED (whut whut)
+
Voco
PURE iPhone fun and creativity
And it doesn't have to be.
The app could literally dominate if they instituted LANDSCAPE mode and maybe some MIDI stuff.
All and all the app is still a strong 8 for what it does.
LOVE IT
Its a Fun app
Did anyone say Figure?
Yes and I also said (hushed conspiratorial tone) SunVox![:p :p](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/tongue.png)
I'll also heartily acknowledge Triqtraq and yellowfier are awesome
Nanostudio, obvi.
And +1 to most of the other suggestions. Good stuff for iPhone these days!
Nanoloop is fun too if he's into slightly chippier/8bit stuff.
Triq Traq is definitely another one I could recommend, though it's a little mroe complicate for a beginner I think.
More recommendations for Gadget, Triq Traq, and Yellofier on iPhone.
+1 Auxy
Blocs wave and different drummer
Looptunes (shameless self promotion
)
Gadget is great but it requires a 'plus' models and it could discharge the battery in the very short term.
Caustic, BM2...
Gadget is workable on iPhone 6, Sunvox too
Thanks again folks. I am recommending Gadget LE to my friend, to first see how he likes it. Recommending ThumbJam also. He is not interested in beat music at all, so that narrows down the choices.
figure is free
No apologies needed. I wish more developers hung out here!
