Packers v Cowboys (US Football Fans Here)
Not sure where to place this since there seems to be no real off-topic section! Just wanted to have this open so when the game is on Sunday, Packers fans and Cowboys fans can come here, joke around, root for their team, and fun and friendly banter. (And, indeed, keep it fun and friendly.)
SO, I just saw on the news that my Green and Gold just landed in Dallas, as well as the fans! Prepare for the show of a lifetime ladies and gents!

Cool, this should be an intense game. I wish Jordy could be a part of it. But we still have Cobb and Clay and Lacy.
As long as it's not like that ludicrous display last night.
This will be an awesome game. I was hoping the Giants game would be awesome but not this year...
This is gonna be a slobberknocker. I am stoked. And a little nervous. Sure hope Dak's nerves are calmer than mine
slobberknocker all time favorite American word....
EDIT: Actually I like jockstomper too, while considering sports, but figure that might be a Hunter Thompson thing...
I like jockstomper, hell slobberknocker is great too! lol......
I don't really even like football, it all started back in school. I used to run Cross Country, and I had to share a locker room with the football team. They were some damn stinky dudes, and rude and ya well there ya go.
But........I love watching the Packers. I think I am over the trauma from school lol......
ATL looked legit today- I thought Seattle was gonna waste them, good thing I didn't bet on that one. Houston is hanging in there so far- first half been much closer than I guessed.
I am predicting NOTHING for tomorrow. We got crummy weather here- cloudy, rainy, chilly. Supposed to warm up a little tomorrow, but not much. Doubt you cheeseheads will like it any more than we do.
That's where you're wrong mate. Wisconsin has a huge variety of weather the Pack plays through, from the sweltering dog days of September down to the slippery single digits of December, the Pack can handle ALL of it with relative ease (given Dom tightens the defense proper and Aaron isn't in "prissy diva" mode so that fellow teammates don't allow him to get sacked).
ATL totally stomped the Seahawks, which actually surprised me, since the Seahawks are usually the post-season faves right up there with the Pack and the Cowboys and the 49ers....where are those 49ers hiding anyway?
Just 4-5 years ago, the Falcons were a mediocre team that played only slightly better than the always-shit Jags, where the Seahawks were still a professional team even back then. I'm looking forward to the Packers and the Falcons facing off next week.
Shame about the Texans though. Their stadium is the Superbowl stadium, and yet the Pats defeated them. Brady didn't need to let some air out of the balls this time given Houston isn't used to the New England style weather, but we'll see what happens next week.
Have to support the Pats in this house (Mrs. Goodyear is a Brahmin), but I thought the Texans looked whipped before they began, or resigned maybe. Disappointing.
Very interesting discussion. But is there a reason no one is mentioning the franchise with the most glorious Super Bowl history?
With a decent QB and JJ Watt back they could do something.
Steelers? They certainly have a shot. Any of the remaining teams could do it. This is one of the most interesting playoffs in a while IMHO.
Not a big football watcher but I wanted to give a shout out to @jwmmakerofmusic and any other fellow Wisconsin peeps here.
I'm a disappointed Giants fan. Losing to Green Bay was a tough pill to swallow. It's impossible for me to root for the Cowboys, though. Having said that, I think Dallas's running game is going to be tough to stop. The Packer offense is going to need come up real big today. I'm thinking both teams could score in the 30s. Go Packers!
2 hours!! Yippee........ I have no idea how good the Cowboy's are, or any other team. I only watch the packers. Well, maybe the Bears and Vikings, being there are some die hards I work with that for some reason dig em.
Sorry bout the loss Arttie!
Cowboys are good enough that this game could go either way. Looking forward to it!
Here we go!
Yep, here we go! :O Gunter down on the Packers, but we deflected the ball. Interesting move, but holy shit, the Cowboys offense are pretty much impeccable. Still to early to predict the final score (other than both scores may end up well into the 30s each), but so far, even though I'm rooting against the Cowboys, gotta admit, their offense is pretty damn awesome. Now let's see how well the defense is against Aaron and crew.
Held us to 3 on the opening drive, and it looks like Gunter's gonna be ok, so two pieces of good news for Cheesehead Nation
Indeed. Well, sometimes, the team who scores first demoralises the other, despite the fact it really shouldn't, so the Cowboys had a decent opening drive. Now, Dallas f-cked up something right after Aaron's pathetic pass attempt, so let's see what the Cheese Heads can do. Dallas timeout! So far, great game. This is gonna be one excellent showdown!
First touchdown! WOOHOO! HELL YEAH!!! Looks like our defense is currently stronger! Better watch out Dallas! Shit's gotten real now!
Caught us napping. Our D better be awake now...
They jolly well may be. A Packers' touchdown is as good of an alarm clock as anything.
Welp, looks like pass inference after a hilariously pathetic pass from the Cowboys. (Oh, holding, nvm.)
Oh come on Dallas! Put up more of a fight than that. That drive started off entertaining and ended up as a joke. Blazon, your team needs to step it up to make it a good game.
Rodgers needs to stop overshooting the long passes and focus!
Yay ADAMS!
WOOHOO!!! That was one helluva catch. We're now at least within field goal range, but c'mon mate. These are the Pack! They're going to get a second TD right now no doubt. Looks like the Cowboys defense failed to wake up, even if they are SLIGHTLY tighter.
ATTABOY TY!! Did I or didn't I call that @High5denied ?
I think you did.
