Roli Blocks

I had one of these as a Christmas present this year and I like it, it has great potential as a midi input device that is my first steps into 5D touch etc.

The accompanying app is great sounding but the restrictions imposed by the creators to maime it with only being useful within the Roli ecosystem is baffling.

MPE is fun and I was wondering if there are other users out there with tricks to get the best from this new tech?

No need to reply bashing it as useless etc as we have all read the previous posts stating this etc, but more constructive comments and workarounds would be of great interest to me and how others are maybe using it :)

Thanks.

David

I have a Seabaord Rise and there are a few iPhone app for a dollar which can do nearly the same like "Aftertouch".
Sometimes it is over the top and hard to handle all those modulations per voice but in general it is awesome and i wished every synth, sampler etc. has MPE as option.
An app like Finger Fiddle would be awesome with it.
So far in iOS the Moog apps are the best here.
But even in most desktop apps it´s still a rare feature sadly (but there you have some workarounds to play every synth MPE style if you want...even mono synths).
Not sure if there is a way yet inside iOS (Audiobus 3 soon?) to split midi channels across several AUv3´s.
I should try that if i find some time.
In general it´s then like a round robin for midi channels so that each channel trigger it´s own instance.
Might be need more RAM and CPU (but not sure since there are mainly the same amount of messages going on in the background).
This way you can make every synth polyphonic and with per voice modulations. Or even play different apps like one instrument.
