If your Air2 screen won't rotate, try this.

I saw a few people here were having issues with the screen orientation on their iPad Air2's getting stuck, unless you rebooted the device. I was having this issue myself, and found a simpler way to fix it.

The next time you run into this issue, pay attention which way the iPad thinks is "up", ie which way the clock is oriented. Now press the power button briefly to put the display to sleep (or close the lid of your case if you're using one). While the screen is still dark, rotate the iPad so that the screen will be upside down in relation to where it was before you made the screen dark. Now power back on, open your case, etc. The iPad should now be in the correct orientation as normal. This works for me 100% of the time and beats waiting to reboot the iPad.

TL;DR - Turn off the iPad screen and rotate it so the stuck display is upside-down, then wake the iPad again.

    Thanks this bug is also driving me crazy... I will give that a try next time this bug happens even though it seems to me that I already tried what you propose with no success... Hope I'm wrong ;-)
