iOS synth closest to Sylenth1's sound?

So, for anyone who's not "in the know" as it were, Sylenth1 is a bread-and-butter type of synth in dance music. A lot of producers from Spinnin Records (lookin at KSHMR and Lucas & Steve) use Sylenth1 for their productions. Sylenth1 also looks like a great sound-designer's tool. I wrote Lennar today on Facebook, so we'll see if they'll adapt it to iOS.

However, in the meantime, I'm either in the market for an iOS "substitute" or already purchased it in the past but inadvertently deleted it, forgot about it, and need to rediscover it. So, my question for you is, which iOS synth (a stand-alone app, an AU, and the IAPs of another app all count as iOS synths) is the closest match for Sylenth1's sound creation abilities?

  • You might like Sunrizer. It's got a Sylenth feel. Fat sounds

  • Give Poison-202 a go :)

  • Artic Pro Synth maybe?.....

  • Poison-202 is good and in-your-face, and has a great effects section to boot. It very well be the synth I looked for. Wish it had AB support, but alas. At least it loads as an AU.

Sunrizer is a bloody classic. Effects seem more limited, but that's okay. Fabfilter plugins more than make up what's missing internally from Sunrizer.

I don't own Arctic Pro just yet, mainly due to the lack of state saving, but I'll be checking youtube to see what vids there are of it.

So, I remembered Magellan, redownloaded and am playing with it. The thing is a savage BEAST! The amount of internal effects (and the fact I can reorder them to taste), the filter options, the richness of the analoguish oscillators, AND the fact it has AB State Saving make this thing pretty legit. Just gotta breeze through the manual quickly to see all it can do, and I think we may have a winner.

  • Magellan has the best preset randomizer ive come across. Ive gotten some really cool sounds out of it

And one of the best analogue-styled sequencers as well. Pattern timeline sequencing is THE best!
