Yepp, but from what I've read it lacks stereo input, I'm not a huge fan of mono...
Aren't guitars kinda mono?
Yes, and the iRigs outside of the duo have always been mono. Some nice new features on this one!
Yeah, but the interface in question includes midi in/out so it would have made sense to be able to do stereo recordings of the connected device.
But this is just me nit-picking as usual...
I LOVE my iRig Pro. And this is much better.
This is tempting. How have IK preamps historically compared with those of Apogee?
Have to agree with @Reid. I have an irig pro. It's a great little unit. But this has the things the pro is missing. And of course, it solves the problem of the missing headphone jack. Very smart move.
If it has headphones output doesn't it have stereo output somehow?
Can't speak to the pres in Apogee, but I think the IK preamps are a bit warmer than the ones in my Focusrite 2i2. I've got the iRig Pro Duo, and I'm very happy with what it does for me.
Yes, the 1/8" jack is stereo output.
Just to let you all know, iRig Pro I/O is now shipping: http://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/news.php?id=874
