GarageBand Sampler
I was just messing around with the sampler in the latest GarageBand. It's on the Keyboard panel next to Alchemy. Is that new?!
You can import you own samples, record them, then slice, trim, loop, reverse, tune, shape, run it through GB's arpeggiator, some nice South-East Asian scales, good velocity adjustment, pitch and mod wheel.
Dang! I know folks like to rag on GB, and I'm sure it's no Reslice, but it's fairly impressive I think.

Yes the sampler has been there for years, hoping it continues to evolve as Apple builds out GarageBand on iOS. This latest update is a huge step forward.
Yeah man I've been diggin this rediscovery of GB too.
It's the way it should be. Pay homage to the standards!
Is the sampler any different or updated?
You can't slice. Just trim. That would've been awesome.
The 'Sampler' in Garageband is actually quite nice and allows Import from iCloudDrive (AudioShare etc.) and it's easy to create a new sample from any recorded audio (just create a new sampler track and drag the audio section to it). If more precise trimming is needed split the audio section before dragging the section to the sampler track.
The sampler can be a storage hog as the whole audio track is copied to the sampler even when just a small selection is used.
Over all it's a quite handy tool.
Nice, I can select locations in iCloud Drive tha includes Dropbox. The sampler is great for loading up AKWF waveform samples as instruments.
