Need help!
Can anybody help me with syncing Magellan with Cubasis? I have Magellan on external and Cubasis midi to it. Super frustrating. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I'm new to iOS. Same issue with Xynthesizr. Help would be very appreciated.

It's kind of hard to guess where you're going wrong since you haven't provided any details, but here are some things to check:
It's working for me that way with Magellan loaded standalone ( = "on external"?). If I change the tempo in Cubasis, the tempo in Magellan follows. That's all I can test without more details. Hope it helps.
Xynthesizr working fine too. In Xynthesizr make sure clock out for Magellan is enabled and Link is off in Magellan.
I think you forgot the switch in the upper left that says "bpm lock" on/off. In the "pref" tab make sure midi in synth 1 is enabled (green light) with the proper midi channel.
Edit: And dont forget to enable background audio in magellan and all your other music apps if you want to control from within Cubasis.
You're more likely to get help if you mention what you want in the title of the thread.

If a person already knows how to work out a problem well enough to clearly communicate at least some understanding of their difficulty and ask useful questions about it, then chances are they need a whole lot less help than somebody like the OP.
I think that part and parcel with difficulties asking useful questions, is the invisibility of this problem to the person experiencing it. Seeing this problem in oneself seems to go a long way towards fixing it. And indeed, I've noticed that self awareness of question-asking difficulties can hugely increase knowledge seeking success in general.
In my experience, successful question-asking is a rare skill deserving of its own forum
End off-topic post.
I see from the description on top of this thread that the OP has no problems articulating his issue. This is why a title: 'Help with sync Magellan to Cubasis' would suffice.
On top of the obvious benefits for the enquirer, when another person looks for the solution a few months from now, the proper title will be just that little bit more helpful in finding this thread.
It also stops future visitors from being welcomed by:
'Help needed'
'I have a problem'
'Look what I've found'
'Good morning'
'Great opportunity'
All of which look like potential click baits to me.
Some people don't click on every thread simply because of lack of time/interest. If you want more traffic in your thread, be specific.
Sorry it this reads ranty. Not intended![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Jup
I just have difficulties with the idea of ignoring existing skills (e.g. how to ask useful questions) to seek something genuinely wanted (e.g. help).
Have you ever done that? I know nobody who has. i know I haven't. Why would anybody? The only loser would be them, after all.
Any luck @Morgman73 ?
If you can expand on a few details I'll have a go at recreating this in the morning.
Doesn't read at all ranty. Perfectly reasonable. And good advice to boot.
A dah. I just turned on clock out of Cubasis. Thanks guys. Simple problem solved. I'll try to tighten up my question asking skills.
I don't think @supadom suggesting you'll improve your chances of getting help by creating a thread with a more specific title is off base. If other people hadn't already tried to help the OP or if he hadn't later explained the many benefits of a specific thread title, it might be a different story. Hopefully the OP has gotten the help he needed or posts again to get additional help.
Keep asking. And answering.
I entirely agree that question/title phrasing and request fulfillment are integrally related.
I simply wanted to add that e.g. "laziness" being a factor was most unlikely, that I thought the OP was doing their best.
Glad to see OP's question was solved and he's willing to ask again when the need arises. My perception was that nobody said or implied the OP was lazy nor should they have. I'm sure we've all been in situations where we've sought help from more experienced people and vice versa.
Indeed. I think I mistook the title-specificness of the suggestions to be general help-seeking suggestions, so that led me off on what I now see is a tangent.
Oops, I tangented. And off-topic-ed. My bad, sorry everyone.
Thanks for the catch, @InfoCheck .![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
