Korg Module - Two questions

  1. When I look at Module in Gadget (with the Salzburg gadget), I don't see an option to play the instruments that I purchased via IAP (specifically, the 80's electric pianos). Is there a way to access these sounds?
  2. Is there a good way to record from Korg Module to MIDI? When I play into Cubasis, I only get an audio file.

Sorry if these seem like basic questions. I just got started with iOS music after this year's Black Friday sales.

    1. Make sure you hit restore purchases in Gadget.
    2. Getting Korg apps to show up as midi in Cubasis is a known problem. There's a workaround posted either in the Cubasis forums or in the Koeg forums. I'll try to post it when I can. this comes up all the time. We should have a stickie for this.
  • Hi,

    1. The additional sounds are in the different Gadgets on my side (e.g. electric pianos IAPs add new presets to the list of presets in the E Piano Gadget... Sorry I don't have the names of the presets as I'm away from home)...

    2. Just use Module as an IAA in a midi track in Cubasis, record that midi track as you are playing and TADA you have the midi track in Cubasis...

    Easy as ABC ;-)

  • Thanks everyone. Yes, I found the IAPs in the E Piano Gadget, and here is the workaround (copied from the Sternberg forum):

    (1) Launch Korg Module
    (2) Launch Cubasis
    (3) Create a MIDI track
    (4) Tap the instrument icon and choose "No Instrument"
    (5) Open "Inspector" and tap "Routing"
    (6) Tap "MIDI ouput" tab
    (7) Choose "Module" from the list
    (8) Tap "KEYS" button to trigger and record "Module" inside Cubasis.
