  • @mgmg4871 - I'm sure us Georgians helped popularize ain't and y'all. Funny that my spell checker worked with y'all! Here's another example Webster could add..

Ain't y'all fixin to upgrade yer app? ;-)

I thought @syrupcore was looking to load a midi file. If so, I don't know of many options for that.

  • @funjunkie. Lol. And if you get no response, "is you are are is you ain't? "

  • Your southern is great @mgmg4871!

  • My parents were from Alabama. We were the Beverly Hillbillies of New York without the money,

  • I love how this conversation developed from my single statement. Haha @mgmg4871 that definition is funny

  • I still ain't found the chords app of my dreams. I like version 3 best.

And yep, looking to go from midi to tabs, not the other way around.

  • Y'all is the second person plural in English. Youse guys ain't grammarians.

  • I always thought it was youz guyz but then, I ain't from jersey. Don't get me started on yunz.

  • Youins - only ever heard it used by a Pennsylvania Dutch woman I used to know.

  • @Syrupcore It ain't Jersey, it's Joyzee..

  • I live round the PA Dutch...and you ought to hear the ppl in Baltimore (B-more) say "hon"

  • If you want to break free of chord boredom and actually visualize why chords work on any stringed instrument in any tuning I'd suggest Scale Tapper. See and hear the chords on the fretboard, musical staff and guitar tab.

  • Hey guys - you should check out 'Genius Songwriter' - it's really easy to use, and comes up with much better chord suggestions than any other app I've seen.. And it exports to MIDI too, so you can work on your songs in Logic once you've finished composing..

That`s one of the rare things found online. You can give this tool any song using YouTube links, SoundCloud links, or normal file upload (MP3 or WAV). And you can play the song, and see the chords in real-time + a table stating all chords used in song assigned to a time-position, which can be clicked, to navigate you into this time in the song.

Almost certainly a spambot post worth deleting (user's first post) but feel an odd sense of forum nerd respect for bumping a seven year old thread that might be relevant vs starting a new one.

    Hyperlink removed anyway.

at least it actually is relevant. looking at you, mrs. "can cbd grow my hair back" :D

well, while we're at it, my new favorite guitar tool is guitar gravitas. it shows you chords and scales (on a fretboard that makes sounds when you tap on the frets, genius...), shows you which chords are in a scale and vice versa, and you can search for chords or scales by just tapping in the notes. perfect for my needs. and then when I found something nice I watch signals music studio's vids to get an understanding on what will work well.
