R.I.P. Clyde Stubblefield
Clyde Stubblefield, James Brown's much-sampled funky drummer , has passed away at age 73.

If the sampling boom did one thing it was the renaissance of the great drummers & musicians that were being sampled in the publics mindset. Young cats knowing who Stubb's was is really cool, very reminiscent of the Brit Boom with the Stones and the Animals, etc. who always gave credit to their influences and help introduce a new generation of fans that flocked to see Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and appreciate the songwriting of Willie Dixon.

RIP to the most sampled drummer in the world. Always liked James Brown's music a lot. In the jungle groove was/is an amazing album.
