I have been forced to look at my entire app buying history ... it's not a pretty sight in places.

Yeah, I think most of us have those "WTF was I thinking?" places in our app history.

This exercise has inspired me to excavate the "Not on this iPad" section to see if I've missed any gems. A couple got resurrected then deleted, quality has moved on a lot recently. We are taking for granted AB/IAA, etc.

  • Nlog-Synth on an iPod touch, was the very first; then it was Alchemy on an ipad2 that really got me going.

  • Nanostudio. It made me ditch the laptop.

  • Soundprism Pro. Still installed. Still used. cemented the idea of the touch screen as an instrument in my mind

  • Amplitube and GarageBand.

Music Studio by A.Gross...great first app !

Hear, hear! Especially back when I only had iPhone.

  • Moog Filtatron was the first app I bought for iOS on the brand new state of the art iPod 4. iKaosilator was second soon followed by NanoStudio. Didn't really take iOS seriously till I got a iPad 2 and BM2.

  • Got Beat Maker 1 on the first iPhone, before there was an appstore and you had to jaikbreak to get it on Cythia. IElectribe made me get the iPad1 on launch date. It's been good fun ever since!

  • MultiTrack DAW on my iPod touch 3.

  • Garageband.
A buddy of mine had it on his iPad and let me knock around with it once, but I didn't know what to do with most if it. Nowadays it is my essential music production app, made even better by being able to connect to other apps via Audiobus.
