any numbers for apps?
i've had an ipad mini 1 for about 3 months. first app was Samplr. so good, but with no midi means i don't use it much. the apps i'm using now are Animoog, iSem and Reslice. unfortunately i can't play them together without one of them crunching up, only one at a time. funny thing, i can have 4+ samples with the arps running in Samplr while playing Animoog and no crunches. so, i'm looking to get an air 2. can't afford a pro. what can i expect? 3 or 4 apps like Reslice and Animoog running without any audio breakup? what would be pushing envelope? any numbers would much appreciated.

Ive got a mini 1 a mini 2 and an air2. Each one represent a huge step forward in processing power.
For me the mini 1 can only run a couple of light apps before I get trouble. The mini 2 can do complex aum setups with five instument feeding into a basic setup in auria pro with modstep sequencing midi and midiflow routing midi. It sometime chokes at this however but quite well behaved.
Air 2 is amazing, like I havent found it stuggle yet.
Thats my take take on it!
hey rich, thanks for the reply. that sounds good to me. more than enough!! one app is a little frustrating tho. i've got some external gear so i don't need tons of stuff going on. blofeld and sequencing with an electribe 2. the filters in auria are intriguing. i would like to run my electribe thru one and hear what it sounds like. i'll see about getting a air 2, although i do like the size of the minis
