AudioBus / AUM / Bias Amp oddity
Fresh restart of iPad.
Open AudioBus.
Load AUM into input slot.
Load Bias Amp into fx slot.
Load AUM up as shown below
Save setup in AudioBus.
AudioBus state save both AUM and Bias Amp.
Bias Amp now loses all other Amp types as shown below
However the state saved Amp works fine
Deleting Bias Amp from AudioBus and reopening gives an error
Reloading AudioBus with AUM / Bias Amp still gives the error message and does not include any other Amp types.
Now Bias Amp always only has this one Amp type even when opened alone.
Will now redownload Bias Amp to see if it fixes it, but this is the weirdest thing I've seen on an iOS setup so far
Comments
After download Bias Amp is back to normal standalone
Now the AudioBus state save works fine![](https://forum.audiob.us/uploads/editor/jv/omwh9cnmqu87.png)

I love AUM but it can be a bit random at times. Last night Elastic Drums refused to stay loaded, and kept dropping out of my tracks, Rebirth refused to load with other apps in the mix unless it was added in a certain sequence, and I'm still having the horror of lost recordings - I'll get to the end of a really good jam and the recording isn't there. That particular nightmare probably happens around 5-10% of the time, and can occur from any combination of apps.
Whether these are AUM issues, particular apps, and/or IAA bugs in general I don't know, but it means I couldn't trust it in a live performance setup.
I tend to agree at the moment. From a personal point of view, I would not use my iPad live on the setups I use. As I'm not even jamming at the moment though, it's not a problem for myself, but I would not trust many of the setups I use if I was to play live. Some may have a tight setup that is rock solid for live use. Might be an interesting thread.
It'd probably be alright if I was running a single synth or rhythm app, but I'd never trust it live with an FX chain or multiple synth setup.
Shame because we're looking to use some of my whacky iPad stuff in the band, so I'm going to have to export it as audio loops to play via Logic on the Mac, rather than chancing a live iPad jam.
