Iconnect midi2+ problems...

Does anyone own this unit and use it with iPad and Windows 10 pc?

How do you have it hooked up? I can't get midi into iPad from a midi controller and can't get audio to pass through....

I was under the impression that you plug in PC and iPad (into midi2+) and get audio and midi but no :'( .....

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

  • You may have to explicitly select the sound card. I don't use Windows, but in the past I remember it took quite a bit of fiddling to get USB sound cards to work properly.

I currently have an iconnectmidi 2 connected to an iconnectaudio4 on it's hub and I'm using it to send midi from one ipad to another ipad whose audio goes into windows 10 (on the ica4)

I've used the iconnectmidi2 for audio by using the asio4all drivers into Ableton Live. But I've had a problem connecting the iconnect midi 2 and an iconnectaudio 4 at the same time via usb, Windows 10 doesn't like it, or at least iconfig for Windows doesn't like it. But it's happy attached to an ica4.

But you can get audio and midi into a DAW if you use the asio4all drivers.

  • Not sure if still relevant, but when I was looking at the 4+ it was using RTP, and I believe was blocked or something.
