It was the octopus. I think it's safe to conclude that there is a vast music technology marketing conspiracy. I also wonder how many "disruptive" music production technologies are gathering dust in a Korg or Moog, etc bunker somewhere. Wonder if the patents could be found. I wouldn't know what to search for though.

One thing you get with a 'real' sequencer is a stable midi clock. I wasn't willing to spend $4K, but I think the $500 for my MPC 4000 was worth it.

at least it sequences, I'd rather pay that than for a $10 dollar sampler app that doesn't sample
