How do I make TC-Data do legato?

I've got a 2 octave scale set up on a table on the x axis and even when I put the target synth in legato, tc-data doesn't send it that way. Anybody know what to do?

afaik there's no legato item in Midi whatsoever - it's entirely up to the receiving synth how note events are interpreted.
    (I'm no Midi-wiz, though)

  • Yeah that's what I thought, I just though there might be a way to send things that would be translated better? I have no idea what I'm talking about

  • well, legato is what happens between 2 or 3 notes, the receiving synth has to buffer the note events and the do his 'legato processing' (depending on buffer content).
If note-on/off events are sent to the sound engine immediately, then there's no legato for obvious reasons.
You can't improve anything, because it's all based on just note events - imho.
