  • first ios app I bought when I got my ipad 1

To be honest, I don't use it too much anymore but that's more my problem than the synth's

Can confirm Sunrizer crashes after update. Will wait patiently

    Yep, crashing here too.

  • edited March 2017

So glad Ifollowed my gut to wait for someone to test this update! One of my all time favorite iOS synths this is! Don't use it every time out but when I am looking for a synth that is pure joy to work with every time I do choose it , this is one of them.

  • So glad that I slept late and missed the buggy update.
Never mind all that noise; sloth is a virtue.

Whenever I need to test something Midi related... I open Sunrizer as the Synth.

    It's solid.

    Always.

Hopefully Beepstreet update iSequencerHD to support 64bit.

  • Is it just me, or does it look like the icon has had a brush and dusting off, and the synth itself looks nicely detailed and resolutiony on the big screen (iPad Pro)?

    But

Still starts up on that patch!

  • And background audio button remains broken on iPhone version. (You have to force it with Audiobus). Fingers crossed this gets updated

The update seems to have been pulled, it's no longer available.

    WTF :/

, fix will come in a few days

    ahh, cool !

  • Yes, I will gladly wait for this some more.

  • I hope Mr Beepstreet updates iSequence. Such a good app as it is but the sequencer could use a bit of a touch up. For whatever reason i seem make my best music with this app. Would hate to see it die.

  • You are not the first I have heard sing the praises of isequence and also seem to recall others hopes for an update as well. It is a good sign that there is life showing at beepstreet.

Indeed yes, if no update by beepstreet I wasn't planing on updating iPad anymore...but I found that the current iSequence still runs on iPad 1, iOS 5...ships projects to AudioShare,
which is also good on 5, and onward to Dropbox. But man I wouldn't turn down an update. For starters, he teased an onboard synth, years ago (pre- Sunrizer.)

Here's some iOS trivia: Sunrizer was originally names something else, and became Sunrizer right before it went live....what was Sunrizer to be called originally?

    Beat me too it Artmuzz:)

  • Beepstreet had to changs the name because there was already a vst called Horizon synth by xoxos.

For some reason audioshare doesnt seem to loop my sustain on the last part of the exported sequence into the first part of the same sequence in loop mode so i paste directly into Multi track Daw and it does the trick and sustains away. Time lines up pretty well to. I would like to run it into caustic but the chopped ending from audioshare muffs it up for me. Little more work that way but it works.

Good detail. Didn't know it was a xoxos synth...I like me some xoxos

  • Sunrizer is one of the essential iOS synths IMHO. The sound is unique and the synth is very "playable" via midi. I love it for distorted, overdrive lead guitar sounds. Here is a loose late 60's power trio jam;) using TC-Data to drive Sunrizer, Yamaha Synth &Dr Pad, IM1 at the same time. Some string scratch whammy bar effect around 4:20.

  • @Artmuzz said:
Good to see this awesome synth updated to support 64bit devices. Shame there is no AU support yet.

At long last! AU, no AU, doesn't matter. So long as Sunrizer won't be taken away from me, lol.

  • Have been trying to use Sunrizer within Logic on Mac (Mini M1). Unfortunately there're a lot of presets that just result in huge blasts of noise, often resulting in the whole Systme Audio to be tripped, and need resetting.

Anyone else with the same experience?

That’s been happening to me for a while now. Fortunately, I’ve gotten to a point where I can tell things are getting unstable and I just quit everything and restart. I’m unable to pinpoint exactly which plug-ins are destabilizing everything, however. I guess if I had more of a programming background I’d be able to interpret crash logs and the like.

    Thanks!

I mentioned elsewhere on the forum that I couldn't even get the plugin to validate. But tried it again yesterday and all was cool. But I really haven't had long enough time to notice any similar such patterns. Yet even within this short period of time, I've had multiple bursts that ripped the system audio. The noise bursts seem to happen every 7-10 presets I click on.

Was hoping there was at least someone who could confirm the issue, and that it's an easy fix.

I haven’t experienced it yet. Do you know how to recreate it?

If it’s anything like what I experience, you don’t want to recreate it. It is just out of control shrieking feedback. Even muting the sound from the keyboard doesn’t work. It’s terrifying when it happens and more than once it has happened while I was wearing headphones. It certainly hasn’t improved my tinnitus.

Not able to, currently. Reset the driver to use something else and it seems to be play ok.

I do perhaps use an unconventional setup (Multi-Output 'interface' with MacOS, going into a system-wide EQ), but I've been using this for over a week with no other issues.

Thanks for re-confirming. That's exactly like I experienced it. Crazy loud distorted feedback (Honestly first wondered who's programming such crazy presets), then a coupe of preset changes and, "POP! and audio shuts off completely :(

  • Not sure Sunrizer is even meant to work on Mac, they sell a desktop version for $50 and the AppStore just says iPad and iphone

Yep. I forgot about the loud popping sound also. It sounds like the computer is going to blow up when it happens.

After reading about compatibility here, I'm sure I just searched it in my desktop AppStore account and it was there.
