  • Any point or purpose if one has the LumaFusion app already?

The only difference is that you can crop videos in LumaFX and you can't just yet in LumaFusion. Though, that's supposed to be high on the roadmap list.

Isn't LumaFusion the flagship app, and it cost 20 bucks or something? Surely LumaFX isn't as advanced.

LumaFX is a very good FX app, it if you have LumaFusion you don't need it. If you don't have the need for the editing stuff in LumaFusion, it's good to have. If you already have an iOS video editor you like, but just want the keyframeable fx for video, LumaFX would be a good choice. Though, LumaFX doesn't have the titler and doesn't import stills to animate like LumaFusion does.

the dev told me they are looking at implementing a video loop feature, as in creating seamless video loops just like you can create audio loops...... I hope it comes quickly.

Sound really interesting. Problem with video looping is of course in which videoplayer you finally will play the video... Anyway very good to see the dev is very active :)

My experience with looping videos in for example VLC player are never seamless

  • that's probably because they weren't looped correctly, just like audio loops that weren't looped at the zero crosspoint to make them seamless.... a video loop feature will allow you to create a seamless loop out of a snippet of video

  • I bought LumaFusion a few months ago. I just noticed today that I could "complete my bundle" and get LumaFX for free. It might be worth checking if you got LumaFusion at full price back when they first released it.

  • Thank you for the tip, @hmtx! Just completed my bundle as well!

  • yeah!
OT - I cannot figure out bundles in the AppStore. Apparently the bundle was free because when I tapped "GET" then the icon changed to "install" rather than showing a price... right? I assume it would have shown an amount if the bundle would cost me anything. who knows... anyway, before I posted this tip I checked my iTunes account to confirm I got it free, no charge.

    Ditto (and thanks!).

  • I don't see 'get', I still see the price (£2.99)...

  • The bundle is (or at least was earlier today) $19.99, so anyone who has bought LumaFusion should get LumaFX for free.
@MonzoPro did you receive LumaFusion as a gift?

  • If you purchased Lumafusion at the introductory price I don't think you will get the bundle deal

@JohnnyGoodyear and @theconnactic if I recall from other Luma threads here... you guys are the last I expected to not yet have LumaFX

I have nothing more to say, I'm still looking for time to actual get into my first Luma video project :bawling:

  • Nice! I grabbed it. But I'm not sure why. If I already have the full Luma Fusion, which "includes all the effects from LumaFX", then what does this bring to the table?

No, I bought it at the intro price though, so maybe that's the reason

  • @Hmtx, I didn't get LumaFX before because someone said it's kind of redundant if you already have LumaFusion, as I do. But since you showed me an opportunity to get it for free, I finally went for it!

  • @wim, this. But why complain, since it's free?

  • @wim see the top part of this thread. there are a few features in LumaFX that aren't yet part of Fusion, mainly cropping videos.

    Asking a question is complaining?
It isn't meant as a complaint. I was asking in order to see if the investment in storage and time to learn it was of any benefit.

    Ahh. Missed that. Thank you.

  • Thanks for the heads up @Hmtx - got that! :)

  • @wim, in fact I was talking to you, but about myself, lol.

  • thanks for the bundle tip

lol. My wife assumes I'm arguing whenever I ask a question. Maybe it's my tone of voice. ;)

  • The price is still the 'intro price'. I downloaded the bundle and got FX. :) Cheers!
