Sunrizer or magellan? (Portamento?)
Hi, I have a live keyboard rig running from and ipad pro12", but have problems with Thor - awful noise between preset switching, and odd midi volume behaviour. I am wondering about getting either Sunrizer or Magellen instead - really for the big analog pads. Can any users tell me what the patch switching experience is like live? Also does sunrize have polyphonic portamento - I can't see it anywhere? Which is the most stable? Thanks

I think Magellan is best for live. The biggest disadvantage of Sunrizer is i think the output volume when switching factory presets. You need to pull the volume down every time or the sounds starts to crackle. Not really a problem if you re-save all the presets with a lower volume setting of course.
I have both, I think that sunrizer is better sounding. If the volume is too high you can just low it....
I don't think they have poly portamento. I'll try
Magellan have poly portamento, sunrizer don't have
Thanks for the help - appreciated :-)
I don't know if you just buy Magellan, but there is DRC on sale for 5€ now. It has poly portamento, it is simple but it sounds great. Magellan have more effects, DRC only delay-chorus-reverb and maybe for a keyboard player Magellan have better preset, but if you create the patch your own It's not a problem.
DRC for its sound it's on another planet than Magellan, that I think is too thin.
You can try DRC for a week before buy. The sale finish 20march
