MIDI sequencer that saves state?
Anyone know of a MIDI sequencer app that saves state (including a prescribed sequence) in either AB or AUM? I have Modstep and it's a path I'm slowly getting used to--largely thanks to the lack of issues I'm having with the latest version. But I'm wondering just out of curiosity if it's even technically possible to save a sequence state in AB or AUM.

If Different Drummer qualifies as a sequencer, it supports AB state saving.
Only Audiobus supports state saving for IAA based apps (not AUX). The next version of FugueMachine will support state saving.
Magellan has a sequencer and state saving. Not sure of the midi capabilities if trying to sequence other apps...also not sure if state saving is strictly for sounds or if it also saves the prescribed sequence...?
Definitely a hole in the state saving universe. Xynthesizr and Jam Maestro do. Several drum machine (that can be used as sequencers but...) and ARP apps do but none of the more song oriented multi-track MIDI sequencers do as of yet.
If you troll https://audiob.us/apps/capability/state you'll find some other MIDI out capable apps like gestrument that might fit the bill.
Considering that Funkbox can save all patterns AND samples into an AB state, I'm thinking that it's not a technical barrier (on the AB side anyway).
midiSequencer does too - we like Audiobus state saving.....
Let me raise the bar a little. How about one that saves state (including sequence) and allows the import of MIDI files?
At the risk of sounding like a broken record...Different Drummer again.
Don't recall which but I know I saw at least one in the AB state saving list that imported MIDI files. Think it was more along the lines of a MIDI file loader/player (it wasn't a regular sequencer and I'm not sure if the MIDI data is saved with the AB state).
I should have added that DD is limited to 8 channels, so midi imports should be limited to that.
Will look further into DD. I have to admit that the videos make it look a little intimidating.
