Appreciate any and all ideas sets ups etc

SInce you need took PO's as well. Some of those cheaper behringer mixers maybe?
Something like this?
https://videoguys.com.au/Shop/p/2162/behringer-xenyx-502-audio-mixer-be502.html?gclid=CLPQrYD06dICFYqTvQod7L4E8g
Maybe feeding it into a UCA202 which is dirt cheap and just works for me but it's just the one stereo in/out.
I would take this instead https://www.videoguys.com.au/Shop/p/25661/behringer-xenyx-q502usb-premium-5-input-2-bus-mixer-beq502usb.html?cat=186
and there is also this thats a bit cheaper https://www.videoguys.com.au/Shop/p/25249/behringer-xenyx-302usb-5-input-mixer-with-usb-be302usb.html
You wouldnt need that UCA202 with them, so they might actually be cheaper buys.
I googled quickly and the q502usb should work with ipad, im pretty sure the 302usb works as well.
I dont know how much those AU dollars are exactly, but you might also be able to get an used steinberg ur22mkii for the price if you can live with 2 inputs. It would be quite a bit better, and it has midi ports.
Be aware with those mixers that most of the inputs are not individual channels, you typically get 2 x mono inouts and the rest are in stereo pairs meaning you cannot individually control the pan of them. Great if all your kit has stereo out, not so great if it is all mono.
You would also need to do multiple passes in order to record the channels individually as the USB interface is just like the UCA202 and stereo only.....
If you want single pass multi channel recording then you will have to spend some cash and get a multi-channel interface....you are talking a few hundred quid.
I have the 802 mixer and have already used all available inputs just using a circuit, mininova, Amplifii TT and iPad (via uca202)
All of this only takes care of your audio input and does not address the fact that the TB303 does not have MIDI and requires either an aftermarket MIDI add on or a MIDI to CV converter.
I am not sure how 'sync' works on the TB303, another consideration for you.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
At this point I think for a quick fix I want audio just to get access to the sounds in my iPad workflow. MIDI and that black hole can come later when I get the iConnect I plan on getting with some other gear after taxes and refund here in US.
Here is back of it.
So, my question is this.

If I run audio from hardware to this (above link) into my USB hub that I have MIDI devices in, AUM should be able to receive that audio thru the hardware input? Right?
I do a very ghetto method currently with the PO's using a mic/USB jack and merely run 3.5 wires from POS into the jack that is in the powered hub and get the audio in AUM so I figured this should work.
I was just looking for other ideas.
ALL WHICH I APPRECIATE BY THE WAY SO FAR.
In actual fact, it hardy matters what you record it with, almost anything these days is going to surpass the audio quality of an old piece of tat like that 303 you picked up from a junk shop or charity shop or car boot sale somewhere. The 303, being old, sounds quite creaky and noisy, and will only get worse as time goes on, I don't even think it'll last the year out. If you like, send it over and I'll send you a nice new modern digital synth with clear crisp predictable audio quality - I might have a spare Arduino around that I can load a squarewave generator onto.
Hmmm I Spy midi ports...If you are using a powered hub then one of these would work

YES
I dont really see any point of getting that UCA202, when you can get a mixer that does what it does as well. Also Im sure that the behringer mixers have better AD converters. Not to mention that you get more inputs with those usb mixers than the cheapest one you posted. Also the usb mixer with more inputs should be able to allow you to send your different instruments to different channels in AUM.
Im assuming that you live in australia as you posted that first shop from australia, so i found this if you are interested and can live with 2 inputs https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/kallaroo/other-audio/steinberg-ur22-mk-ii-audio-interface/1140324986
I have one myself and it works great. I have a synth hooked on its midi ports, so i can easily play ios synths through it as well. If the 303 is able to sequence midi and not just its internal sounds, it could be really cool for sequencing ios synths through this. Also if you are thinking of getting the iconnect later to hook your ipad to computer as well. You could do like i do. I got a focusrite 6i6(that i got used for 100€) on my computer and i have the two interfaces hooked together. Works like a charm and using direct monitoring on the 6i6 allows me to basically use it as a mixer where all my audio sources to through and sends the audio to interface to ipad.
So if you think about it this way with 2 scenarios:
UCA202 + cheapest behringer mixer(or just the mixer where UCA202 is not needed) + iconnect.
Or
used ur22 mkii + used focusrite 6i6(or something similar).
Personally i wouldnt want to buy the mixer at all(unless i would buy it for the inputs and would be using with iconnect) if i would be getting the iconnect, as the iconnect would just render the mixer and UCA useless. And the way i have the two interfaces hooked up now, i would rather take these over iconnect.
Not correct (at least with the behringer ones anyway)....the USB audio input is from the master bus, so it is the mixed signal from all the sources, they are not individual channels by the time you get the the USB part, just a stereo stream....functionally no different to the Mixer + UCA route.....
I have said Mixer + UCA combo....If I were to upgrade from that I would be looking at something like this...
https://www.keithmcmillen.com/products/k-mix/
Not exactly budget though....but then none of the current multi channel interfaces are what I would call cheap.
That looks like an MC-303. If it is, it will do MIDI clock sync without problems and can be used nicely for sequencing iOS synths if you hook its MIDI out port to your iPad.
Yes, the 502 would seem to be a good call if compatible. I'd scour something like Gumtree for a quality interface if price were a factor, second-hand gear isn't bad here, I've snagged a few bargains.
I put 303 and yes I should have been more specific !
Thanks

I'm shocked no one else uses this app?
I have great luck with it some other musical situations.
