Looks great, hope there's a horizontal mode on iPad.

Yes, the app supports all orientations on the iPad.

I like the way we can draw the arpeggios, but is it possible to have silent notes , or does it play only the full scale without rest (like Scaleplay of Rogames for example) ? Does it work only with Gadget or with any midi synth ?

Yes, you can have silent steps in the arpeggiator sequence. There is an eraser tool to remove notes.
The app can work with any Core MIDI compatible app, not only Gadget, it also supports midi over wi-fi and usb connections.

    No Bluetooth midi? Shame.

Very interested in your app and excited for its release. Will this be released with Audiobus 3 capability?

No, I have not worked on this feature yet. In the first place, the app is a midi controller. Embedded sound engine is very lightweight and simple, and mostly for demonstration purposes. So I decided to pospone this work to later releases in favor of more valueable features.

I have not tried to implement this one. Is that feature really so important for your workflow? Could you please provide some use cases?

    Obvious one
In the first demo in this thread I thought you were recording the output of your app into gadget via BT

BT midi has lower latency than wifi midi.

BT midi doesn't tie up the lightning port

Sounds reasonable. I will investigate this topic. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • @ChordUp, will you consider Midi in as a possibility?

For using the app only as an arpeggiator, without chord sequencer?

Either that, or with chord sequencer that just transposes depending on the incoming note as a root.

I think the abbility to use the app as an arpeggiator without chord sequencer could be quite usefull, will add it to my TODO list. But I can not say for sure about the second feature with transposition. It sounds somewhat unclear for me. Not in terms of implementation but in terms of usage.
