Finally happy with my mobile setup

Had it all going through auria but it's more taxing than necessary since gadget (8 tracks) doesn't have multiple outs anyways and i'm using link to sync everything. Using the phone just to receive link and convert to midi out for the op-1. Put it in a guitar pedal board so that i can move around the house and not deal with reconnecting.

Will try to upload a video within the next couple of days.

  • I have the nanoKEY studio, which I find essential now. I'm curious, how do you like the Kontrol Studio? Do you use them both at once?

Yup. Just got the kontrol yesterday. Mostly using it for gadget start and stop and muting channels, treating gadget like a 4 track drum machine, bass and 2 other synths. Then on 8 i keep the instrument i'll play live so i can select it without even bringing up gadget. The only thing i need to do in gadget is select the nextscene, which i don't think i can do from kontrol.
Feels a little heftier than the keystudio.
The keystudio i use to play that 8th channel.

  • The fact that you can't select next scene with Korg's own hardware is pretty disappointing. I end up using the Kontrol studio with AUM.

Yeah. But for jamming and playing live just the start and stop and mutes/solos makes it worth it to me. Hopefully they update it soon since we now have loop markers etc. Alsomthat jog wheel should be good for something
