Multi Track recorder app for iPhone

Can you guys help recommend a simple multi track app for iPhone?

I just want to be able to plug my iPhone SE into a Behringer XR18 mixer, hit record and capture a live gig in multitrack.
Then export the files to my mac and edit and mix with Logic.

I did try using Garageband on IOS - it is possible to set up a template with 18 blank tracks ready to record - but when I tried it at a gig it stopped recording after maybe 15 minutes saying "Maximum song length" or something like that.

I'd get the new Cubasis as it's on sale - but it seems to be iPad only.. Plus I don't really need most if it's features

Looks like it would do the trick - so £9.99 for the app - and then wouId I need the £7.99 IAP for 16 tracks?

It's good to see that the app is AB3 ready :)

Aha - so AUM could do this?? I bought AUM last week to try and route the input from USB in 7 on my Helix guitar floorboard to MIDI Guitar 2 app - but it doesn't work. I foolish forgot that AUM doesn't work with just any app. They have to be AB or IAA compatible. I was gonna get a refund on AUM if I can't find a use for it... I was thinking that AB3 will do the simple routing that I might want AUM for.

Is this easy to set up on AUM? I just want to be able to plug in the iPhone, open the app and hit record.

  • MultiTrack DAW comes with 8 tracks and can be upgraded to 24. It's so easy to use and totally stable.

That's good to know thanks - stability and ease of use are the two main factors.

This is mainly for use while I'm at a gig - I'll be playing bass probably and also doing the live sound too.. so the recording app wants to be as simple as possible
