  • interesting. the new klimper is now 8.99 €. I hope this means midi out is on the way, perhaps even with AudioBus 3 support.

The 'new klimper' is still the buggy release version

yeah, but I wonder what the next version will be. maybe launched in conjunction with AB3 ? the new price makes me wonder ... there must be something coming

  • I think the new price is the old price.....
It was released at a higher price, got a price cut to refllct the bugs vanished completely from the AppStore came back to the AppStore and has now had a price hike.
I hope you're right because I like the idea behind the app a lot.

it is almost double the launch price now. that makes me think new version might be on the way ... maybe this is the one app AB3 launch is waiting for? in any case, klimper has great potential and with midi out (+ AB3) will be worth the new price I think

So... this developer releases Klimper Composition... lowers the price because of a bug and says the price will remain reduced until he fixes the bug. I trust this and buy the app.

Then, the developer disappears from the app store along with his apps. He doesn't respond to multiple attempts to contact him via the only lines of communication he has, twitter or facebook. No email address or form on his site.

It's speculated that the apps have disappeared due to not paying the dev fees, etc.

I contact Apple and they graciously refund the app.

Now, he's back in the store, same buggy version of the app, but now the price has doubled.

    Um... no thanks.

Same here bought Klimper Composition when it was on sale. There's been no update. When all klimper apps disappeared from the app store I panicked a bit but reasoned just let it work itself out...then it comes back more expensive and still no updates. And you say the dev is unresponsive and won't show up here on this forum doesn't look too good. Maybe the dev can get on board here and set us straight..

  • Well there's no reason the dev should show up here. We're just spoiled that so many do.

But he should respond to posts on his Facebook and or Twitter.
