I ended up editing out any visual references to iPolysix, unfortunately, for fears of copyright infringement, but I think I'll post a making off of this song, showing how I synthesized each drum piece and also the bass. I simply love this synth.
Dimitri I thought this was really unique, very cool! Had funk elements, with an almost lo-fi electronica vibe. My only critique if I had to give one is the lead guitar tone was a bit too distorted. Did you use an iOS amp sim? I love ToneStack, BIAS, & AmpKit for clean tones but anything crunchy or full on distorted they can iffy.
But that's nit-picking, on the whole, a great track. I have wanted to get into video for years & any friends I have who have worked A/V for awhile tell me for my iOS set up LumaFusion or Pinnacle is the way to go. Your video using LumaFusion looks cool, was there a steep learning curve?
Be cool...
I love the lead guitar sound, what's it going through?
Auria's amp sim plug-in, Overloud THM! Thank you, monzo!
Thank you, @JRSIV! LumaFusion is as easy as iMovie and easier than any Desktop video editing software.
Wow, sounds amazing, I'll have to check that out!
I won't say Overloud THM is the perfect amp sim because it doesn't have a guitar tuner. But it's second to none in iOS, tone wise, and since it's an Auria plug-in, it allows for multiple instances, and is very lightweight on the CPU (I recorded with a buffer size of 32 frames for minimal latency).
