AudioBus 3 Pricing
Personally I think AB3 has a cool pricetag of $9.99. I can even say AB3 is a bargain measured in possiblities and the work the devs put in it. But given the price development op AB2 (it was at some points even free) I'm curious what the devs ( @Sebastian ) plan on the price development. For example is $9.99 an special introduction offer and will te price go up in a few weeks. Or will it be handled like AB2 and after a short while the price will be slashed by 50% or even more. Would be great to know what the devs have in mind for future pricing.
btw I did not yet buy AB3 because I'm still on iOS 9.3.5. Will watch reviews and than I decide if I will upgrade to 10. This as special introduction prices could speed up my upgrade process

Honestly, they could have charged 30$ and it would still easily be worth it in my opinion
I would pay $9.99 for the privilege of posting on this forum.
This is half the price of AUM, and while it remains to be seen if it works well, Audiobus is the absolute most rock solid component in any of my setups.
I will admit that I don't quite get what the midi apps do, or if they're necessary, but that's another thread.
Sebastian already answered this.
Okay thx!
I generally only ever buy apps when on sale.
In this case however, where the developers are attempting to improve the iOS audio creation ecosystem itself (not to mention hosting the defacto message board for iOS musicians), I'm happy to support their efforts without worrying about the price.
+9.99
Price is always important. You guys behaves like you have bunch of money to waste.
Be modest. If you are lacky I amk glad for you but think about us (majority) poor people.
The issue is that many of us don't see it as a waste but an investment, a very different matter. But, of course, also a personal choice.
You got a point here. But what I meant is that a clear price policy is in interest of everybody. I remember buying Fluxpad at launch but just after 10 days there was already a pricedrop. That was just frustrating. Steady price policy gives trust and make things easier to buy, especially at launch. Of course no problem with occasional sale.
See also this thread.

If you can afford an iDevice for music making you can certainly afford a few apps.
Making software is really hard work.
You're welcome. Always happy to help![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
My advice: When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.
Please keep this thread open so the spoiled, entitled twats have a place to congregate.
Poor people give an everyday fight for basic needs . Not for iOS device and apps.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
But I understand what you mean
I would not be making iOS music if app prices were much higher.
Devs could not be making apps if prices were much lower.
The tension will always be there, but I think the community would benefit if we trust the devs to set the price where they think it needs to be.
Agree but my intention was not about critizing app price levels but rather app pricing policies of the devs. See my earlier comment. When devs play around a lot with price levels it's just not that clever in my eyes. Steady prices, with say, a special introduction price for the first supporters and/ or occasionally sales (as your 0303 sale) is in my eyes the best strategy.
My response wasn't aimed at you. Your point was clear. Sorry for the confusion!![B) B)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/sunglasses.png)
I'm very curious as to what other products you buy have a published "steady" pricing policy??
I'm sinking this thread because it doesn't seem to have a lot of potential other than for drama. Please be friendly to each other.
Hello Sebastian!
Is it possible to unsuscribe from this forum and how to do that.
Yes, stop visiting.
I will. It was mistake. And I do not have hard feelings. I am around 70 years old and need to
watch for the money I spend. Plus it appears I do not know how to respond and communicate with the younger population. Apparently Generation gap. It is best to leave you alone. I do not need agression or insults. If I insulted someone. I apologise.
And I would like if somebody can say how to unsuscribe.
Haha, iOS hardware devices. And most audio apps have a steady pricing policy, from small to larger devs. So from BramBos to Korg.
Most people here are not so young really!
I can understand you but i´m poor too but also payed much more for apps and plug-ins because some of them needs YEARS to build and they worth the asked price for sure.
It might sound harsh but it´s simple. If you can´t afford 10 dollar for an app it might be the wrong hobby.
I think you have to contact the support of this forum if you want to delete an account.
I wish you all the best but maybe sleep a night or two over it!
Thank you Cib!
You mignt be right when you say It could be wrong hoby for me. I got an iPad when I retired from my job as chemistry teacher and that how it started. Now I see I can not keep up any more. This is all becoming very expensive for me.
The price is more than reasonable, but what I am a bit miffed at is that I only decided to go ios about a month ago and bought audiobus as a 'must have' purchase so it was slightly annoying to realise that there was no hint that an update was imminent - grumble, mutter, shuffle etc. I might be taking a look at Aum if I do decide that I need more functionality...
The way you were aggressively attacked and insulted for merely stating that folks should be more modest about their ease of spending money on audio apps, etc. is despicable and embarrassing for this board. You didn't deserve to be treated like that. There are some on this forum who tend to react this way to any post that has anything to do with cost vs value, etc.
It's a great forum with lots of excellent info and many more here who are always generous with knowledge and willing to help anyone who needs a little help. Many here have helped me a great deal when I needed it, and I've tried to pay it back whenever I can.
Stick around. Don't let the uncalled for aggression, insults, and name calling of a few turn you off from an otherwise magnificent iOS information audio resource.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Yes do not worry about age here. I think the average is midi forties and there are plenty in 60s and 70s too I think![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
But you are right iOS music is slightly deceptive. It's relatively afffordable to get started on some apps but expensive as time goes on as it all adds up, but depends on your use and how far you want to go with it.
Don't panic I'm 60 myself.
Stick around and remember. Less is more. I've been recording for years and this stuff is great, but you can get carried away. Most people on here are helpful and you can learn a fair bit, but some of the tech talk can leave me confused. I'm an anologue man
