Can't seem to find a way that AB3 will work in my set up :-( help!....
Hopefully someone can help/explain what I'm doing wrong. Pre AB3, my set up was an 88 note master keyboard, sending out on midi channel 1 through either iRig or korg plugkey.
I use midiflow to create 6 outputs - all on differmt midi channels - which is necassary for my midi controller (midi designer pro 2 on the same ipad) to be able to send programme change messages on different channels and subsequently different synth apps. All worked, but requires a lot of manual opening and setting up. I want to add a parametric eq to one synth, and chorus and tremelo on another. AB3 therefore seemed to offer a way to simplify and do this.
However, its looks like neither AB3 or the new Midi filters can take one midi channel and output it on another channel - it relies that the midi keyboard is sending omni mode - none of mine do (kawai MP11/Doepfer Pk88). And as AB3 is not compatible with Midiflow - I'm stuck.
The other confusion is that if I use AU versions of my synths which seem to make sense - I have no remote midi controller capability as I can't seem to select a midi channel on the AU, plus the sounds are dry with no reverb effects of their own. Am I missing something?
I'm running this on an iPad pro 12.9"
My midi controller needs to send patch changes and volume to each synth
