OT Apple App Store and PayPal
My debit card recently expired on my Apple App Store account and I have been trying to update and register my new debit card but every time I do that I get an annoying message telling me that debit card has declined. I cannot understand it as the card is valid and I am using it on PayPal. Is there any solutions to this problem? On the other hand I read that I can use PayPal on the App Store but I see no option for PayPal when I select payment type in my account. I am in the UK and according to what I have read PayPal is supported in the UK and USA. Please advise.

You should probably call your credit card company and ask them directly about why it was declined for the app store. They may have some fraud-detection algorithm that picked it up as suspicious usage. It's especially important to call them as sometimes they lock your card altogether, temporarily, in such situations. Usually just verifying your information and that the usage is approved by you over the phone is enough (at least here in the US).
Best thing I did was to just buy iTunes card and not add credit card.
Eh. Too easy to realize just how much you're spending that way. I much prefer to have it buried in the larger mass of over-spending charges, making it much easier to blame the wife.
Yeah I might just have to do that but I will have to wait until tomorrow until I can purchase them. I am actually wanting to purchase Logic Pro X but it is £199. Can I purchase two £100 iTunes cards and use them? I see there is a way to buy iTune cards using PayPal. Has anyone used PayPal to buy iTunes card and was there any problem.
I've bought Amazon and Nintendo eShop gift cards on paypal-gifts.com and it couldn't be easier. You get an immediate code, which is also emailed to you (there's no physical card sent). I can't imagine it's any different for iTunes, but my amounts were low -- $10-$20. Be careful you pick the right Apple store, though, I see they have iTunes and Apple Music.
Indeed you can, and I even remember so far back when they used to have offers such as 20% off where you pay for example £80 for £100 worth of iTuneage, which makes a purchase such as that all the more sane. That doesn't happen any more. However, I certainly agree with letting cards expire then never putting them back onto online accounts if at all feasible. Not that I don't trust Apple and the like or seem paranoid in terms of getting hacked, but, you know, what if they get seriously hacked one day? I'd rather all traces of credit card number only be useless ones.
Yeah I am getting paranoid now putting in my new card details after phoning my bank and was told the reason my new debit card declined was because the fraud team at my bank declined it. I had to phone my bank to tell to lift the decline off the card and they did and told me I can register the card now but I'm scared to do it. Another thing even though my card decline Apple still took £1.58 from my bank account as an authorisation charge. Bastards!
I think I will just go to my local Tesco and buy two £100 iTunes gift cards to buy Logic Pro X.
Or go to PayPal uk and go down the bottom where it says shop, then look for a panel that says digital gifts, then find the itunes one, and you'll see the way of buying them there, but as I say, no offer on at the moment, the bastards.
What @wim said. Both posts.
That's exactly the reason my debit card was declined. I phoned my bank and they told me the fraud team were involved with declining my card. My bank put me through to them where I confirmed my identity and they sorted everything out and they told me that I can now register my card on my Apple account but I don't think a I will bother. I will just buy iTunes gift cards on PayPal digital gifts and buy two £100 vouchers for Logic Pro X.
I have been reading conflicting advice while searching on Google that when using iTunes gift vouchers the customer has to have a credit or debit card registered in their iTunes account. Is this true? Also, I read that PayPal can be used to buy apps from the App Store but I don't see that option when I was selecting payment type.
Can anyone in the UK tell me if I can use Tesco club card vouchers to buy iTunes gift cards?
