What's Better than one drum app alone :( . Two together in Audiobus
Setup FunkBox with a preset groove route to DM1 in the midi section of Audiobus. Press play in FUNKBOX. In Funkbox switch to the TAP tab select roll and mix/overdub without messing up the basic grove.
I have no idea if you could do this before either with Audiobus2 or some other combination of apps.

Yes! Funkbox is great, driving other, more sophisticated drum machines with the canned beats. I like Funkbox into Gadget, to use the sampling drum machines. It can be cool starting with a classic two bar pattern, that already has lots going on, and the accents in the right place.
