Will Audiobus 3 bring more apps or less for our use?
There are a number of people who do not support apps that are not audiobus compatible already. Will it be easier or harder for the developers to code for AB 3 or does the new AB make coding new apps simpler. I know my brain hurts trying to get my head around AB3 and am curious as to how it might be for developers.

I think in the short term, it might look a bit like AU did at first - remember when iSEM and Remaster were the only Audio Units for, like, eons?
But the appeal of a one stop shop for all your audio And midi connectivity needs is really kind of a no brainer for Midiots like myself - and most of the outside world. I think apps will come along with full AB3 support either sooner or later, but they will come along.
Except that it's not a standard. It's an a la cart menu of option that Devs may or may not include ranging from no support to a full implementation......
So are you saying less then?
Will this make it easier for developers in the midi end of things perhaps?
We think easier.
I go where KRFT goes.
I have now to bother Xfer to make Cthulhu an iOS Audiobus 3 MIDI app. The best damn arp and chorder in the world (for me at least).
So i´m in for more!
Are there many apps thus far that have revised their offering with recognition of audiobus the third, whereas prior, they were ignorant of audiobus the second or the first?
I'm thinking BlackAdder now![:p :p](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/tongue.png)
The thought that it could bring more advanced apps is perhaps another possibility?
I am still a bit in the dark of just how I would use it. I have done my share of hooking apps up to other apps via virtual midi and while the process had it's annoyance factor I find myself still wondering...
...is there an option yet for smoothly and effectively automating parameters?
In IAA it is a world of messy MIDI CCs (charts? eww!) , so I have kind of bailed on that and the promise of AUs was that you could automate AU parameters that theoretically should show up in a list in plain english but is there a host yet that does this nicely?
Yeah, I hear you. It'd be cool if KRFT used the SDK (when it comes available) to make MIDI out channels as easy as hooking up the playheads in Fugue Machine. Hint, hint, @Alex fox ...
