Didn't hear anything after their meeting. So hopefully they decided to keep it alive.
I have had confirmation on Twitter that they are working on 64 bit but it is taking longer than expected
I have no expectations at all for this really very fine app. Tis a terrible pity. My best hope at this point is that someone will take it off their hands and do the needful, but I fear not...
I'd also like to point out flux:fx is 32-bit, but flux:play is 64-bit.
So, worse comes to worst, you can keep some flux functionality.
good to know - thanks. Lately I've found that flux:play is sufficient for my needs
Did not know that. Thanks Mister John....
Does anyone have any intel > @skoptic said:
That is Great to know and thanks.
Ditto @johnfromberkeley for the info.
Play works on presets though. I can't make new ones without the "full" program?
I wiuld love it so much if this app survive and went on a diet to stop eating so much CPU. Its crackle city for me on ipad mini 4
Nor can you copy them to flux:fx, as promised.
I got flux: play for iPhone but it ended up being a resource hog and the fx were not really adjustable. Kinda felt like a cheap toy to me. I can't comment on flux:fx
Damndest ios narrative I have ever seen:
App is introduced with big splash (and highly regarded musician attached)
App is received with overwhelmingly positive acclaim, and purchased in significant numbers
Developers are initially a presence on forums, and more great things are promised
And then...
Bring on the crickets
I know, it was the highly regarded musician attached that I thought might keep them on point, but whatever their goals were they didn't meet them...
It's a great app too. One of the best for effecting guitar instruments. Incredibly well designed and great interface. In my opinion, the deepest and most 'playable' effects app on iOS for guitar instruments, by a MILE.
Ditto
This. And even real guitars
Love this app!
Yep, in some of my more catty and disappointed moments, I would ask myself, "Are you sure that it's not actually Reeves Gabrels associated with this?"
I'm sure Mr Gabrels is a lovely man, but he is my least favorite Bowieguitarplayer. Something about his tone just never clicked for me.
In all their many forms!
Agree. Trying not to get hopes at all misplaced, but am still holding out for at least a 64 bit update.
It's done, uninstalling now...
Yup. Which is why I'm so bitchy about it being an unnecessary resource piggy. I'm gonna try it out when I get the new Pro though
That was my biggest disappointment.
Really do need the 64 bit Flux.
Great,really great app!!
Official word back from developers is that Flux :FX is getting a 64bit update which is currently underway and an ETA will be given ASAP.
Good news!
Best news of the day. Excellent.
Hi guys - sorry it took so long... iOS11 64bit version is live!
Thank you so much. The flux:play presets are here:
I love this app. People should buy it.
