I've used it to record midi into Cubasis a couple of times yesterday

Are you using it to record midi or audio?

  • Works fine for me.

Trying to drive elastic drums, Ruismaker fm
    Nothing...

Thought that if I loaded it into midi Input, aimed at an app in midi output, then that app as audio input into DAW audio output I'd hear midSTEPs playing the instrument into the DAW.

Is that what's working for y'all?

Found myself going into midi settings on midiSTEPS, but then I thought that was the deal with AB 3 app ready, that it was going to "just work"

  • Hey, sorry it was giving you trouble. It sounds like a reboot did the trick? Not ideal but IAA (including IAA MIDI) is weird sometimes and reboots seem to fix that. If there is a reproducible step that causes it let me know!

For anyone else having problems, there is currently an issue if you're using a multi-output audio interface. Still not sure why its doing what it is, but I have a workaround for that and hope to submit it tonight.

The other thing is to make sure your MIDI channels match. Originally I had the AB-MIDI version automatically default to sending on channel one. I took that out and may put it back in since it's one more thing that can go "wrong" and AB3 has more people trying MIDI for the first time.

Any other issues just let me know.

Thanks @artkerns - yep I think full reboot cleared the gremlins out. Thanks for following up here..and thank you for midiSTEPs and midiLFOs, they're tons 'o fun...!
